James Brisbane, son of John Brisbane, was born in 1774 and died on Warspite at Sydney in 1826 from illness. He served in the Royal Navy.

• As Captain of Queen Charlotte, 104 (Flag - Admiral Lord Exmouth) he took part in the Bombardment of Algiers (27 Aug 1816).
