Philip Saumarez was born in St. Peter Port, Guernsey on 17 Nov 1710 and died on Nottingham, 60 on 14 Oct 1747. He served in the Royal Navy.

• As Captain of Nottingham, 60 he took part in the Battle of Cape Finisterre (3 May 1747).
