Henry Blackwood
(1770-1832)

Henry Blackwood was born in Co. Down, Ireland on 28 Dec 1770 and died on 17 Dec 1832. He served in the Royal Navy.

He married Jane Mary Crosbie on 12 Jan 1795 and Eliza Waghorn on 3 Jun 1799.

Sons who served as naval officers: Francis Price Blackwood and Henry Martin Blackwood

• As First Lieutenant of Invincible, 74 (Captain Thomas Pakenham), he took part in the Glorious First of June (1794).
• As Captain of Euryalus, 36, he took part in the Battle of Trafalgar (21 Oct 1805).
