Samuel Hood (1724-1816)Samuel Hood was born in Butleigh, Somerset on 12 Dec 1724 and died in Bath on 27 Jan 1816. He served in the Royal Navy. He married Susannah Linzee in 1749. He received the title of 1st Viscount Hood on 1 Jun 1796 and was also known as Baron Hood.
