ALARIC BOND has been writing professionally for over twenty years, his work covering broadcast comedy (commissioned to BBC Light Entertainment for 3 years), periodicals, children’s stories, television and the stage. He has held a fascination for the navy during the Georgian period from most of his life, and regularly gives talks on the subject. For the last six years he has been dividing his time between writing and working at Scolfe’s, a small traditional restaurant and tea rooms near Herstmonceux, which he runs with his wife, Kitty.
