the forum.
Be polite and show respect for fellow posters.
If you disagree with
someone, remember that they have a right to their own opinion. Do not post
personal attacks, threaten, or harass other forum members.
Do not post anything that is obscene, racist, homophobic, sexist, promotes
illegal activities, or promotes hate of any particular group.
Please post to the appropriate forum and stay on topic.
Off-topic,
inappropriate, or irrelevant posts may be moved or deleted by the

for your convenience. Please do not abuse it. If you would like to carry on
a long, personal discussion with a particular individual, please use email
instead. Do not post jokes or virus warnings.
Political or religious discussion should be avoided unless it concerns people or events related to the age of sail.
There are more appropriate forums for discussions about current political events and religion elsewhere on the internet.

Please do not post messages typed entirely in capital letters.
ALL CAPS is
difficult to read and usually indicates a person is shouting.
Please do not post messages in net- or pirate-speak.

permission from the copyright holder to do so.

Sailing Navies website, please contact the webmaster at
webmaster@sailingnavies.com with the details.
If you choose to use a signature, please keep it short (2-3 lines) and do

directly on the forums.

determine that a post violates the rules, we will make every effort to
resolve the situation within a reasonable period of time.
